Illuminators

Illuminators… lighting path for others that’s the name of my team for trekking competition. The team was me and Prajkta… who else will join for such madness other than a friend like her…. When I read about d competition in news paper I gav her call n she ws equally enthu abt it the way I was. So being the over encouraged molecules we started our preparations b4 filling d registration form. We climbed Sinhagad in d evening, jogging in parks and off course rounds to Parvati. The good part of this was we were very serious abt it from d beginning which helped us allot.

The trekking competition was about 25 km covering trekking on Visapur-Lohgad and Tikona the three forts in near vicinity of lonavala. Ours was the only team of two females otherwise there were mix n men teams only. So two girls struggling with boys was again an issue of discussion for all….

We were determined to participate n complete the competition with all vigor. Climbing Visapur just a week before the actual competition helped us more as we were ready for all hurdles in d way.We were determined to participate n complete the competition with all vigor. There was heavy rain one day before the trek n we were worried abt the situation of climbing…. It was all messy n slippery. We started from Bhaje then Patan startd for Visapur from there. After Visapur Lohgad was next clue…. Climbed that n moved for Tikona. After trekking in strams of water n rocks when it comes to steps it feel like heven…. Good some old ppl think of building steps.

The competition was planned nicely there where check points n clue point. Flags were there to show the right path... thought i missed the path twice.... sheer weast of time. But even wrong way teaches us how to read roads n how to go back.... without fearing of the fact that you are lost....... Also some volunteers were there... to show the track... n for medical help as well.

Adventure is not necessary part of life.... it is our choice to think out of box.... to take up challenge which tests our ability. The challenge can b anything physical or mental.... the important aspect is how we face it.... n when we complete it feels like the whole world is ours. No one can take ur happiness n the joy of that moment..... It gives inspiration for rest as well. So now just don’t think of doing it just DO IT.
